The Tantra Intensive

The Intensive is a residential four-day program which offers different ways of liberating blocked or repressed sexual energy. When sexual energy flows, life flows, affecting not only our sexuality but our over-all health and happiness.

We will explore our relationship with our bodies, our sexuality, with our inner the masculine and feminine and the repercussions that those relationships bring about in the relationships we have in the outer world.

It will function like a diagnostic. It’s a chance to really look deeply and get an honest assessment of where you are. We use the energy of the group, dynamic meditations, yoga, and movement to bring us a unique experience in which we have the possibility of becoming more present, more embodied and more honest with ourselves.

From this point of honesty we begin to realize that it is in fact, us who are creating the discord in our relationships and our life in general. Once we take responsibility, become the authors of our experience and can begin to take charge of our lives.

What you should bring

A blanket. In case it gets chilly, for cool-downs after bringing a lot of heat into the body when you can become sensitive to the drops in temperature, for some of the exercises, and to snuggle up with if you need a little comfort.

A notebook. If you are a note-taker and that helps you to learn, bring a book and something to write with. This course won’t be lecture filled, but there will be some oral transmission and if this helps you to hold on to the info, don’t forget it. Also, if you are a journaler and writing helps you to process, please bring your journal.

A Yoga mat. Hatha Yoga is a core part of the day, if you have a mat that’s already loaded with your energy; bring it, if you don’t, contact us – there’s a chance that we have some at the site, but it’s helpful for us to know how many we’ll need before we start.

Your payment. The thing that would make us the happiest is if the payment is already complete by the first day of the workshop. If that’s not possible, please remember to bring the balance on the first day – there are way more important things for us to communicate about than money.

Willingness and flexibility. We are going to hit walls, it’s almost inevitable. If you come in eager to know how to work past the walls and willing to admit that perhaps what you’ve been doing so far hasn’t worked out the way you wish it had we’ll be ready to go.

What you should know about the workshop

The hours are intense. During the duration of the course you will spend most of your waking time inside the hall, doing the work. We use the time to immerse fully and highly recommend unplugging as much as possible from the outside world. We use this retreat as a ‘restart’ button, pulling us completely out of our normal daily life so that we can dive deeply into ourselves.

This workshop respects boundaries. There will be no nudity and nothing sexually explicit. That being said, we will be working with this energy, so we will do some partner work and sensuality will be provoked, as will playfulness and spontaneity.

The venues for the Intensive are chosen based on trust. We select venues that have quiet and seclusion, a staff which is equipped to handle the retreat’s needs and an energy which is conducive to the work. Because of this being the main criteria the other circumstances may vary greatly – sometimes we are in a more upscale resort, and others in a very rustic, basic setting in the beauty of nature. Accommodation is generally shared or dorm-style and food is always vegetarian and prepared with love (usually by cooks who have done the course and come back to support).
